Is it a fake email?
The address is real — messages really arrive in the inbox. It's only “fake” in the sense that it isn't tied to your identity, which is why it works where a real address is required for confirmation.
Is it safe to use a temporary email?
For one-off sign-ups and tests, yes — your personal address stays hidden. Free inboxes are public, though: anyone who knows the address can see the mail. Don't use them for banking, government or important accounts, or for sensitive information.
How long are messages kept?
In free inboxes every message is deleted automatically 10 minutes after it arrives — from the database, with no trash folder. An inbox keeps at most 10 messages: when a new one arrives, the oldest is deleted. You can delete everything sooner with “Clear all”. The address itself doesn’t expire — you can open it again and receive new mail.
Can I send email from a temporary address?
No. fake.bg only receives mail for now — you can't send or reply from a temporary address.
Can I choose my own address?
Yes. Type the name you want below the address, pick a domain and press “Create”. If that address already exists you'll see its mail — so avoid easy-to-guess names.
